About the Continuing Medical Education Program

The mission of the Texas Children's Hospital Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program to fulfill the identified needs of physicians and other healthcare providers through the application of evidence-based medical information and training designed to improve competence, patient safety, performance and enhance clinical outcomes in accordance with the standards of the Texas Medical Association (TMA) and Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

About the Nursing Continuing Professional Development Program

Texas Children's Hospital is an Accredited Provider of Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Texas Children's Hospital has been providing nursing contact hours for over 20 years. The Accredited Provider Program is housed in the Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Department where we work collaboratively to design, implement, and evaluate all NCPD activities in adherence with ANCC NCPD criteria and standards.

The mission of the Texas Children's Hospital Accredited Provider Program is to promote nurses lifelong learning by offering engaging courses and quality education designed to enrich their knowledge, skills, and competencies while meeting licensure requirements.

Accreditation Statements:
Texas Children's Hospital is accredited by Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
