Overview
Late or missed diagnosis of Primary Immune Deficiency Diseases (PIDD) is common in the practical management of patients by sub-specialists in the community. Statistically significant data gathered from surveying over 3000 Asthma Physicians, Allergists, and Immunologists demonstrate that specific recommendations and guidelines for the use of common therapeutics minimizes inconsistencies between patients. Patients treated late or left untreated for PIDDs results in excess morbidity and mortality.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Accurately evaluate and diagnose Primary Immune Deficiency and Dysregulatory Diseases earlier.
  2. Utilize new available diagnostic tests to assists in precise diagnosis of PIDD and PIRD.
  3. Compare new advanced treatments for PIDD and PIRD Diseases.
  4. Appraise the value of patient perspectives in advancing medical research.

Accreditation

Texas Children’s Hospital is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Texas Children’s Hospital designates this Live Activity activity for a maximum of 3.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
