ANCC Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcome: At the conclusion of this nursing continuing professional development activity, 80% of participants will identify at least one knowledge enhancement they can apply to their practice to improve care and outcomes for neonatal patients.

Learning Objectives:


  1. Integrate evidence-based practices to enhance clinical decision-making and improve outcomes in neonatal patient care.
  2. Apply interdisciplinary knowledge to support informed decision-making in complex neonatal scenarios.
  3. Interpret clinical information and diagnostic data to enhance understanding of neonatal conditions and guide appropriate interventions.
  4. Assess ethical and psychosocial factors that impact neonatal care delivery and family-centered support.
  5. Demonstrate enhanced understanding of safety, quality, and developmental standards in neonatal care through collaborative dialogue and application of knowledge.

Texas Children’s Hospital is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This activity awards up to 6.0 contact hours.
