Overview
This symposium focuses on the surgical techniques and multidisciplinary management of pediatric brain and spine tumors, delivered in a highly interactive format with active audience participation. Key features include: -Presentations from national and international experts highlighting the most current and clinically relevant advances in pediatric brain and spine tumor surgery -“How I Do It” sessions from master surgeons sharing practical operative techniques and decision-making strategies -Open, tumor board–style sessions where attendees may present challenging cases and receive real-time feedback from faculty and peers

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify from an open discussion in a multidisciplinary setting the different management options for certain brain tumors, like diffuse midline gliomas, optic pathway gliomas
  2. Identify the key surgical steps for the main surgical approaches for pediatric brain tumors
  3. Discuss the most up to date research and new nuances for brain tumors with direct implication in surgery.

Texas Children’s Hospital is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
