Overview
Clinical event debriefing can enhance teamwork, promote organizational learning, and support hospital-wide patient safety and quality improvement efforts. This activity will help you learn more about how to lead these debriefs.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Recognize the importance of debriefing clinical events.
  2. Identify potential triggers for debriefing.
  3. Describe the process of leading and participating in clinical event debriefing.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. After this activity, 90% of participants will identify one intended change in practice based on recommendations for best practices in debriefing.
